How to Recover Facebook Password
Method 1: Reset Facebook Password by Using Default Email
Facebook account is created by using email id and phone number. If you let know the email id then Facebook can help you to reset the password. Follow these simple steps and you should be able to reset your Facebook password easily.
1. Open your Facebook app or www.facebook.com from your computer/laptop.
2. You will see forgot Password option below the login field, click on forgot password.
3. A popup message will appear that will ask you to continue with email id or phone number to access your Facebook account.
4. You will see some options like Email me a link to reset my password and get a code from my mobile.
5. Choose any one option to reset/recover the password. After options choose “Email Me a link to reset my password” and click on continue.
6. Facebook will mail you a special 6 digit code that you will be asked to enter on the following page.
7. Enter the code and click on change password. Now enter a new password and confirm the changes.
You may now login to your Facebook using the new password.
Method 2: Recover Facebook Password using the Phone Number
If you have already linked a phone number with your Facebook account then choose the third option from the forgot password. It says to get a code from my smartphone/mobile and continue with the process.
In this case, you receive a security code on your phone number that you linked with your Facebook account. Enter the code and click on change password. Now enter a new password and confirm the changes.
